Many of Aradia Naturals products contain pure essential oils.
Therefore, most of Aradia's products are packaged in glass jars or
bottles. It is a fact that essential oils may react with plastic or metal containers and products are very likely to become tainted with this type of packaging. Unfortunately, most personal care products are put into plastics because they are cheaper to purchase and less costly to ship. Aradia Naturals uses mainly glass containers, not only to ensure the quality of products, but because glass is, environmentally speaking, a better choice. Aradia also takes care to not over-package products out of concern and respect for the environment, and all containers are reusable and/or recyclable. |

of Aradia Naturals
products contain preservatives, to ensure product safety. These
are considered some of the gentlest and safest on the market. Note
that some of what is marketed as 100% natural preservatives today do
not do well in preventing microbal growth and, therefore, may leave
products vulnerable to a host of problems, such as mold & bacterial
contamination. These can then lead to serious health issues (eg. blindess as a result of containation in eye products, etc.) Aradia
wants to address these concerns in the most healthful and responsible
manner possible. Here are the preservatives used in some of Aradia Naturals products:
| Cosmocil CQ: Cosmocil CQ (Polyaminopropyl biguanide) is a gentle effective preservative, parabens-free, and does not release formaldehyde. It is a water soluble preservative that acts against bacteria (including the tough gram negative pathogens) yeast and fungi. Micro organisms do not develop a resistence to it. Cosmocil CQ is low-odor and stable in both heat and light. Recommended storage is 2 years. Originally formulated for the eye and contact lens industry, this preservative has low eye and skin irritancy and low oral toxicity. Optiphen: Vitamin E is a safe, common additive in skin care products. It acts as an anti-oxident in products, thus helping to guard against rancidity in oil-contiaining formulae. Vitamin E also has a beneficial effect on the skin. |
